need bedding but cant use cypress..

what other bedding do you guys recommend besides cypress mulch. I think my tegu maybe ingesting it and dont want him to get impacted.
Also my house is carpeted. mulch was easy to vacuum which is why i liked it plus hold humidity great and burrows. since he free roams a lot i need something that wont stain or dirty the carpet too much.
