My red (Weasley) has issues with his tail shedding properly. I have tried tons of things, increased fruit/vitamin c, cod liver oil in his food, slathering the tail w/ vitamin e oil, plain petroleum jelly, soaking daily, massaging the skin gently to get it to loosen... nothing seems to work. Suggestions? He is soaking now in his bath with vitamin e oil (ps the vet said external vitamin e was fine). He free roams the bedroom almost all the time but he has a moist hide as well as several water pans to soak in as well as a basking area and his own bed I never see him in the moist hide he is generally on his bed basking... it is just about the last half of the tail to 1/3 of the tail. We lost half in October and he has several inches of regrowth that are having shed issues as well as a bit of his original tail... i am at a loss but something has to be done... has anyone used the shed ease stuff? Does it work? Thanks. I will post some pics in a bit. He doesn't like to be disturbed when he is soaking... what a diva
