Been browsing the forum for months, now finally signed up so hey!
Anyway, I'm worried about my little tegu.. I've had him since August, where I purchased him from a reptile shop, which he must of been poorly treated :( He is missing both of his big toes on his back foot.
Since I've had him he's barely grown, hes friendly etc. But he is only 18-19 inches :( A huge tail, tiny body..
He used to love eating, locusts etc. He would chase them all over the vivarium, now he won't barely touch anything! He's not getting the calcium or vitamins from the food as he's not eating.. I've tried everything, turkey mince, eggs etc. But hes not having any!
His vivarium is currently 4x2x2 as hes still only small.. 100-110f basking spot, 70-80 cooler end.. plenty of substrate, mixture of soil/sand/orchid bark.. he loves burrowing.. 3ft UV tube.. I don't know where im going wrong?!
