What all is wrong with this http://zoomed.com/cm/resources-stuff...onitor%20.html care sheet... please tell me I am not the only one who finds this fairly inaccurate. First I would like to make sure I am correct in my assumption that basking temps for tegu are higher topping out at 110-115, humidity should be between 60 - 70 percent and a little higher won't hurt too much during shed, eco carpet is useless as a substrate for tegus as it gives them no place to burrow, repti bark is also fairly useless as in my experience it does NOT help with humidity and they do not like to burrow in it either, aspen is ok depending on the setup and how you like to keep your humidity up as it can be very drying and can contain quite a bit of dust, diet... omg seriously canned tegu food? and they eat mostly mice? please someone write a proper care sheet and send it to zoo med... what about a varied diet? what about fruit? what about... oh i could go on ...the last thing that could just send me over the edge is the rock heater... everyone who researches their pets knows how dangerous rock heaters can be (not saying all are but lets face it... more lizards have been burnt by those than should have been) a rock heater... basically I am sad because I linked to this through the repticon website which says to me it isn't about reptile care it is about selling a product or several... and that saddens me for all the tegus out there on heat rocks eating canned tegu diets...
