I got a new red tegu a few hours ago and the owner said it was a 2 year old female. They never really had the courage to hold the tegu without gloves so they just guessed because she/he didn't have the big tegu cheeks. Once I got him home I checked for the bumps and they were there. My question is, if he IS a male, why does he not have the big cheeks? I will probably post pics up later if it would help.
Update: He is 2 feet, 5 inches from his nose to the tip of his tail. red.jpg
