So I have a younger black and white tegu, that wasn't in the best of shape when I got her. I thought she had a shedding problem, looked like some stuck skin on her tail. She has been buried under the mulch for a few weeks now and hasn't been eating for some time. I figured she was starting to hibernate, although it seemed a little early. I dug her out this weekend and I now see that the spots I thought were stuck skin may have been some sort of a fungal infection!!!!! You can see where the scales are pulling off down to the white skin underneath! Not sure what to do. No vets around that do reptiles. I was hoping that if somebody else has had this problem and used a prescription that worked, then maybe I can ask for the same thing at my local vet.
